If you can think it you can make it.

As the nation’s first K-14 Digital Fabrication Center, the Global Center for Digital Innovation (GCDI) is committed to serving the greater Chattanooga community by facilitating ideation, creation, and production through maker-centered learning. Our goal is to provide tools and processes in a safe, equitable, collaborative, and inspiring space to embolden a maker identity and ignite the entrepreneurial spirit. Through digital and traditional fabrication, students and community makers can improve their own lives and the communities around them by turning their ideas into reality.

Chattanooga is home to a growing network of Digital Fabrication Labs

Hamilton County’s Digital Fabrication Ecosystem exposes students to tools and strategies used in today’s workplace through hands-on, creative learning. We work to engage students in the creation of functional solutions to industry-aligned problems in digital fabrication labs, and empower K-14 students to fill emerging workforce needs & create new solutions to challenges that don’t yet exist

“Children learn best when they are actively engaged in constructing something that has a personal meaning to them—be it a poem, a robot, a sand castle, or a computer program.”
